Payment

I offer a free initial phone consultation to preview the issues that need to be addressed in therapy. The first scheduled Intake session lasts 90 minutes in order to review the client’s history and establish a rapport relationship. The cost of the Intake is $195.00. Subsequent sessions last 50 minutes at the rate of $140 each. These charges are the same whether an individual or couple is attending therapy. Arrangements can be made in advance for sessions to extend beyond the customary time.

Group fees are $50 per session, and are scheduled for 90 minutes.

Payment is due at the end of each session and can be paid by cash, check, or major credit card. Cancellations must be made by phone at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled session. A Monday appointment will need to be cancelled on the preceding Friday. Appointments that are not cancelled within 24 hours will be billed the full amount.

Insurance

I am a provider for MHN, or Mental Health Network.  Information can be obtained by visiting www.mhn.com

If your insurance plan is not covered by MHN, clients may file for out-of-network reimbursement.  Fees must be paid "up-front" and I will provide you with a receipt. It is the client’s responsibility to submit the receipt to the insurance company as well as interact with their insurance company concerning billing issues.

Here is a suggested list of questions for your insurance company, regarding out-of-network payments: Does my plan have mental health benefits? If so, am I covered for out-of-network providers and at what rate? Is there a separate medical and mental health deductible? How much of the deductible have I met at this point? Is there a yearly or lifetime maximum benefit?
